Sudbury to the Sea - 24 Miles to Raise Money for St Nicholas Hospice
by Mr C Ryall - Monday, September 22 2008, 01:17 PM
CanoeLaura Osborne, an intrepid English teacher here at Great Cornard Upper School, is going to canoe from Sudbury to the Sea. The journey will take place on the weekend starting the 13 September 2008 and is to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice.

As well as two teachers dying recently, several members of staff have also had family members die of cancer. We hope that the money Laura raises will be able to support other people suffering from illness, and also help their families.

St Nicholas HospiceSt Nicholas Hospice provides specialist medical care to patients with life threatening illnesses in the Sudbury & Bury St Edmunds area.

If you would like to sponsor Laura online (it can be a very small amount) please visit http://www.justgiving.com/sudburytothesea. Alternatively you can collect a sponsorship form from school, or if you wish bring money to reception.

Good luck Laura, and Tim & Mick (our caretakers) who will be rowing alongside her.
